Holy Cow. These actually work. I have been giving my dog a highly rated calming treat for about a year. It just doesn't seem to affect him very much any longer. So I tried these and Wow, he passed out for the night the first time. He's 75 lbs of AmStaff (Pit Bull breed) and very energetic, sweet and thinks he's a lapdog. We joke that he has Sundowner's because he gets really antsy around sunset and wants to go out and play in the yard. We take him out to play frisbee 2-3 times a day and it's still not enough exercise for him. I play mental games with him as well to keep him occupied, like hiding treats and having him "go find it". So I read the label and it said 3 treats for his weight. I gave him all three at once. He fell asleep within 30 minutes and slept the entire evening and night! Oh my goodness, I got to watch an hour long TV show without throwing a ball! I'm now spreading the treats out through the day so he's not a zombie, but I know I can always save them for the end of the day if needed. These actually work and he's much calmer and more focused. But try them one at a time and see how your dog reacts. As far as the smell goes, it's duck flavored. It smells like duck. Kinda gross in my opinion but my dog doesn't object at all. His opinion is more valuable than mine on that one.
We have a 1 year old golden retriever who is VERY attached to us and these have been incredibly helpful. She is very high energy and likes to be with us constantly getting attention (due to her anxiety of always wanting to be with us). But since giving her these calming treats on a daily basis, we've noticed she does much better at playing independtly and not needing constant attention. She still is hyper occasionally because she's technically still a puppy, but overall this has calmed her overly energetic tendencies and made her a much more balanced dog!
I have a french bulldog that has anxiety/separation issues while crated. I've had these traits for a few days and so far they have worked well. My dog sleeps through the whole night without crying, barking and whining like he used to. We'll see how it goes, hopefully it continues to work. I give my dog 2 of these treats about 30 minutes before his bedtime.
My 1 year old Cocker Spaniel has anxiety issues and we have been trying to work with her get passed them with positive behavior training. We also wanted something that would not make our pup feel drugged and lifeless. Our trainer suggested a hemp chew and after doing research, we decided to try the calming chews. We've been on the daily chew for 5 days now and I'm seeing improvement with her stress and anxiety. I imagine as she is takes this consistently we will begin to see even more improvement which will make her live her best life, which ultimately is so important to us.
Our rescued fur baby has had a lot of anxiety since the first day we brought her home. We just moved, so even though we had made progress, it was like we were having to start all over again with her (my fiancé and I both work full time). We made a couple of adjustments at home and started using these treats as well. It has been absolutely amazing for us! While the change isn't drastic, it's enough to help us help her.
