Positioning

Try to get a close up of your pet. Being on the same level as your pet work best. Try to avoid taking photos from overhead. Remember to make sure their ears are in frame.

Lighting

You need good lighting for the best result. Photo taken outside or in a well lit room is always recommended, and that you're happy with the colors in your photo.

Makes taking my dog's temperature easy!

My dog never sat still for a rectal thermometer. This solves that problem. I like that the readings are color coded: Green for normal, yellow to let you know to monitor the dog's temperature, and red means call the vet. I didn't realize that a dog's temperature can be too low, and this will alert you to temperatures that are dangerously low, as well.

Working fine

It is working great and my dogs really appreciate that I don't need to shove things where the sun don't shine to get an idea of what their temp is.

External and Internal

For example when I get a reading from my dogs external stomach area when feverish, there is about a 3 degree difference from her rectal temperature. That goes for other areas recommended.
